Old news that may be new news to you

Recently, Megan's mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was stunning and sobering news for all of us. Because Megan is super-human in her ability to think of others, she worked to find a way to show her mother a sign of solidarity. A big shout of "You are not alone!" This is what she came up with:

Yeah, she is bald now. And every time I see her fuzzy head I just want to hug her. Because she is willing to do anything to show love for her mom. And that is my kind of girl.

She plans to keep it at hedgehog length until her mom's hair grows back after chemo. This was not a one time deal- she will continue shaving her head until Tammy is cured. I do love me some Megan.

Pictures, y'all

The weekend before last, we went to Dallas for a little girls' weekend* to celebrate my mom's birthday. While there, I did some engagement portraits for my cousin, Laurie, who is getting married in August. If you have followed my blog, I'm sure you have seen her here before, but now she is all growed up. :(

(You guys like how I just jumped back into posting without mentioning that I have been MIA for the past couple months. Pretty smooth, huh?)

Dex is still working on his pronunciation. He is currently standing on the seat of my chair, yelling into my ear "I see a cock! I see a cock! Cock on da wall!"

Oh, look at the time. It's penis o'clock.

*Jumping back in for an edit. "little girl's weekend" sounds pretty hilarious to me. I am picturing us in overalls and pigtails, running around Dallas with our dollies. I could have worded that better.
